Epi One CEO Michael Marquardt recently had the honor of attending the annual gala of the Nemours Children’s Health System with his wife Claire, who serves on its Board. The gala celebrates the research that is carried out to help cure pediatric cancers, and was held at the beautiful Longwood Gardens.
Nemours has a vision to reimagine children’s health and is addressing the social, economic, behavioral and environmental factors that affect kids every day. It advocates for health reforms, raising awareness of the issues facing young people and advancing policies with lasting impact for generations to come.
Proceeds from the ‘Night with Nemours’ Gala benefit the organisation’s new state-of-the-art Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders. With world-acclaimed physicians and scientists and new standards of care and treatment, the Moseley Institute is enhancing pediatric therapies locally and globally and making a significant impact on the lives of countless children and families. The new space will allow physicians and researchers to care for more children in an environment that transforms the patient experience, and will address the need for service consolidation while accommodating evolving clinical trials, research, and training programs.
The evening itself was held at the exceptionally beautiful Longwood Gardens, which has 200 acres of lush, formal gardens, open meadows, and breathtaking Brandywine Valley vistas.
